MinterEllison hires two partners in China offices

MinterEllison has hired two M&A/foreign investment partners in its China offices. Bi Chen, who has extensive experience acting for Chinese state-owned enterprises and private companies on outbound investments in the energy and natural resources sectors, will join the Beijing office and Chris Carr, who advises Chinese and multinational corporations on cross-border M&A, private equity, joint ventures and foreign direct investment, will join the Shanghai team.

Allen & Gledhill and Rahmat Lim & Partners launch fintech practice

Allen & Gledhill in Singapore and its associated Malaysian firm Rahmat Lim & Partners have launched a fintech practice. Bringing together legal expertise in financial regulatory, technology and IP, the new practice will respond to the growing client demand from venture capitalists, fund managers, banks and technology service providers.
