Eversheds Sutherland to merge with Harry Elias Partnership

Eversheds Sutherland will merge Harry Elias Partnership in Singapore. The combined firm, Eversheds Harry Elias, will have more than 90 lawyers. Eversheds will own 33% of the equity and will have full access to all aspects of Singapore law practice.

Zhong Lun expands in Hangzhou

Zhong Lun Law Firm is opening its 15th office in Hangzhou. Beijing partners Yuan Ting (finance), Li Ya (corporate) and Michael Zhang (private equity) will lead the new office and will split their time between the two locations. The Hangzhou team will provide full service advice, with a strong focus on corporate, finance, restructuring and real estate.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed Jane Hider and Gaynor Tracey as partners. Based in Melbourne, Hider has more than 20 years of experience in advising clients on procurement, structuring and delivery of government and private sector construction projects. Tracey joins the firm’s Sydney office, where she will advise on transactional and advisory areas of corporate/M&A. She has extensive experience representing clients in the media, private equity and fintech industries.
