Piper Alderman hires Michael Macina

Piper Alderman has hired Michael Macina as a partner in its national dispute resolution team in Sydney. Macina, who joins from ERA Legal, is a specialist in commercial litigation and insolvency matters, especially in building, construction and technology industries. He often acts for builders, developers, company directors and insolvency practitioners.

Haiwen & Partners opens Hong Kong office

Haiwen & Partners will be opening a Hong Kong office next month, focusing on M&A, capital markets and private equity matters. Led by Shenzhen-based partner Lu Guiping, this will be the firm’s first office outside Mainland China.

SokSiphana&associates appoints Antoine Léger as senior consultant

ZICO Law adds new member firm in Brunei

ZICO Law has added Rozaiman Abdul Rahman in Brunei to its network of offices around Asia. Led by Mohamad Rozaiman Abdul Rahman, the firm has 20 years of experience in litigation, corporate commercial, IP, real estate, banking and Islamic finance. The new addition means ZICO Law now has offices in 16 cities and nine out of the 10 ASEAN countries.

Indian law firms Links Legal and DH Law merge

Link Legal-India Law Services and DH Law Associates have merged. Link Legal co-founder Atul Sharma and DH Law co-founder Nusra Hassan will co-manage the firm. With 35 partners and 155 lawyers, the merged firm, which will retain the name of Link Legal India Law Services, will be one of the biggest 15 firms in the country by number of lawyers.
