Career highlights: Suhail Nathani is a co-founding partner of Economic Laws Practice, and co-heads the international trade & customs, corporate & commercial and private equity & venture capital practices of the firm. He also heads competition law & policy and capital markets & securities practices of the firm. He earned his master’s degree at Cambridge University, England and his LLM from Duke University, US. Apart from India, he is also admitted to the State Bar of New York.
For over 20 years, Suhail has advised clients on private equity investments, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and corporate restructuring. He advises Indian and multinational companies on cross-border transactions, foreign direct investments, commercial contracts and securities laws. He advised Johnson Controls in its global air conditioning business joint venture with Hitachi, Asian Mena Counsel ’s 2015 deal of the year.
Suhail has been named a leading lawyer in competition/antitrust, corporate M&A and international trade by Chambers Asia-Pacific, Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, Who’s Who Legal, and IFLR1000. He will be on the jury for the BW Businessworld-PwC I-bank 2016 awards.
