P&P Legal merges with Argus Partners
Indian firms P&P Legal and Argus Partners have merged. P&P Legal focuses on banking/finance, projects and infrastructure and real estate and has worked with corporations, builders, developers and banks. Along with the merger, Siddharth Raja, founding partner of Samvad, and Aditya Narayan and Megha Malhotra Narayan, partners of Aditya Narayan & Co, will join Argus Partners.
Oldham, Li & Nie bolsters litigation practice
Hong Kong’s Oldham, Li & Nie has two new litigation partners. Stephen Chan has joined from Gall, where he was a senior associate. He has in-depth experience of handling commercial disputes and international arbitration matters. Anna Chan has been promoted to partner. She has acted on a number of cross-jurisdictional cases involving shareholders’ disputes, company wind-ups and contentious regulatory matters.
Gilbert + Tobin adds tax partner
Muhunthan Kanagaratnam has joined Gilbert + Tobin’s corporate advisory practice in Sydney as a tax partner. Before the move, Kanagaratnam was a tax partner with Deloitte, specialising in M&A transactions. Kanagaratnam will be focusing on tax aspects in structuring transactions and fundraisings in addition to tax controversy and policy work.
Vanessa Andersen joins Maddocks
Vanessa Andersen has joined Maddocks’ employment, safety and people practice in Sydney. Before the move, she spent 16 years at Henry Davis York and has extensive experience in employment litigation, industrial relations and executive employment matters.
Malcolm McBratney joins Aitken Partners
IP specialist Malcolm McBratney has joined Aitken Partners in Melbourne as a principal in its business law practice. McBratney has worked with a range of industries including FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), information technology, agribusiness and life sciences.
