Rajah & Tann, one of the largest full-service Singaporean firm, announced this Friday that Eng Beng Lee SC will step down as the firm’s managing partner, the position he has held since 2010. He will remain as the firm’s senior partner and chairperson. Patrick Ang will be appointed as the new managing partner, effective from 31 March 2019.
“I am proud to have Patrick succeed me. He is a very capable, well-liked and trusted leader in the firm and, as Deputy Managing Partner, has been closely involved in day-to-day management as well the driving force behind many of the firm’s key projects and initiatives. At the same time, he has built up a strong professional reputation as an eminent insolvency and restructuring lawyer globally,” said Lee.
Ang mentioned that one of his main priorities is to oversee the firm’s move to a new office at Marina One at the end of this year. Moving to a new office aims to make the firm more flexible to adapt to a dynamic business environment.
Rajah & Tann is ranked in eight sectors and 13 practice areas in the latest edition of asialaw Profiles.
