Recently, AnJie Broad Broad Law Firm successfully assisted a Chinese insurance company in reaching settlement in a cross-border anti-suit injunction dispute with a Norwegian car shipping company. The case involved multiple Chinese and UK court proceedings and UK ad hoc arbitration. The Chinese litigation was accepted by the Tianjin Maritime Court of PRC, which placed great importance on this case for being the first case accepted by the court involving the issues arising out of a cross-border anti-suit injunction. After almost a year of negotiation, AnJie Broad successfully helped client reach a settlement with the Norwegian party. This case was reported by the People’s Daily, one of the most influential press in China.
