Bae, Kim & Lee has hired Ki Joong Kang as an IP partner. Before the move, Kang was the vice president of the IP practice at Samsung Electronics’ IP Centre. He has also been a judge of the Korean Patent Court and Seoul Central District Court.
Buddle Findlay appoints Paul Beverley as national chairman
Buddle Findlay has appointed Paul Beverley as its national chairman. Beverley leads the resource management and Maori law team in the firm’s Wellington office. His predecessor, Peter Chemis, finished his term in March. He will continue to lead the firm’s employment practice.

The IP firm of Singh & Singh & Lall & Sethi is dissolving only two years after it was created out of the merger of Singh & Singh and Lall & Sethi. Managing partner Chander Lall‘s decision to become a senior advocate at the Delhi high court has prompted the demerger.

Singhania & Co in India has entered into a joint venture with Italian firm CBA Studio Legale E Tributario. The two firms aim to work together on cross-border M&A matters, joint ventures and partnerships between companies from the two countries.
