The International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu, following closely on the heels of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, is a significant global horticultural showcase. Endorsed by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH), it is organized under the auspices of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and the China Flower Association, with hosting duties shared by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and the People’s Government of Chengdu Municipality. Scheduled from April 26th to October 28th, 2024, the exhibition adopts the theme “Park City in Happy Chengdu,” featuring 112 themed exhibition parks. For the first time, it will utilize a “1 main venue + 4 sub venues” model, with the primary location in Chengdu’s Eastern New Area. This year’ s exhibition is set to welcome major domestic cities along with numerous international sister cities and friendly cooperating cities of Chengdu, including Montpellier (France), Sheffield (UK), Maastricht (Netherlands), Linz (Austria), and Kofu (Japan). Additionally, industry leaders, innovative tech companies, and local businesses will be invited through both international and domestic social organizations. The International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu represents a prime opportunity to present the evolving beauty of China and the advancements in park cities to the global audience. It’s a celebration that mirrors the contemporary era, showcasing international horticultural standards, Chinese cultural elements, and the unique charm of Chengdu. Throughout the exhibition, thousands of special events, including opening and closing ceremonies, nine international flower competitions (such as one dedicated to roses), the World Garden Flying Flower Order, the World Garden Eight Act Opera, and the World Garden Twelve Songs, will be held, making it a landmark event in horticultural history.
