Established in late 2019 by a founding partner of Trilegal, Anand Prasad, AP & Partners aims to service clients in sophisticated, high-stakes and high-value matters. Its corporate expertise rests in M&A, particularly those that are complex, distressed or contentious, and it has a growing expertise in technology matters. The department provides a full suite of services to clients that include domestic and international public and private companies, entrepreneurial startups, mature multinational corporations, as well as significant financial institutions, insurance companies, pension funds, and venture capital funds. The team frequently acts for Indian companies, their founders, and management in M&A deals as well as other corporate transactions such as joint ventures, equity and debt financing, mergers and business transfers. It is also kept busy advising a number of major corporations on their corporate governance matters.
On the dispute resolution side, the firm regularly represents Indian and multinational clients in complex commercial litigations, international and domestic arbitrations and all aspects of corporate criminal defence and enforcement-related litigation.
The New Delhi-based firm currently has seven partners and nearly 20 fee earners. Apart from Prasad, the key contacts at the firm are corporate and private equity partners Arjun Sinha, Harshit Anand, Dushyant Kumar and Moksha Bhat.
