Represented the Malaysian interests of a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) listed on the New York Stock Exchange for its proposed merger with an Asia-based e-wallet operator, Target Co, valuing the combined entity at around $400 million. Under the terms of the proposed transaction, the SPAC will combine with Target Co and become a publicly traded entity under a new company name. Target Co pioneers a global fintech banking platform for e-wallets, financial institutions and merchants worldwide, delivering frictionless, interoperable real-time fund transfers and instant messaging.
Acting for MCHB Development (NS) in its joint venture with NS Corporation, owner of the masterplan for Malaysian Valley Vision, through a special purpose vehicle (SPV). This land acquisition will boost Matrix Concepts Holdings’ existing land bank and further cement its foothold in Negeri Sembilan to sustain its continued growth, contributing to the overall development of MVV 2.0.

Advised Cape EMS on its IPO and subsequent listing on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. Cape EMS’ performance on its first day of trading outshone all five companies that debuted on the main market during the previous year, as of 10 March 2023. The share price of Cape EMS surged by 66.7% to close at RM1.50 on its maiden trading day, compared with its IPO price of RM0.90. Cape EMS raised RM155.7 million ($33.5 million) in proceeds from its IPO.
Advised SFP Tech Holdings on its IPO and subsequent listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia. SFP Tech Holdings recorded the best performance of any ACE Market IPO between December 2021 and November 2022, with its share price soaring by more than 480% in less than six months after listing to enter the billion-ringgit club. SFP Tech Holdings raised RM62.23 million from its IPO.
