Work highlights
Representing Iskandar Waterfront in a landmark RM709 million ($168 million) compensation claim against the Land Administrator regarding the acquisition of underwater land for the RTS Link railway project between Johor Bahru and Singapore. The case challenges the initial RM3.8 million award and raises novel valuation questions for strategic underwater land in Malaysia's Iskandar development corridor. Currently pending before the Johor Bahru High Court, the matter also explores alternative arrangements involving rights of way in lieu of acquisition under the Land Acquisition Act 1960.
