Work highlights
Successfully defended a prominent public figure in a high-profile defamation case concerning statements published in Malaysian newspaper The Star's "Letter to the Editor" section about school funding and naming rights. The case centred on claims regarding a RM4 million ($0.95 million) allocation to a Chinese primary school in Johor. The High Court ruled in favour of the defendant, finding the published statements were matters of public interest and not defamatory. The judgment emphasised that the content sought explanations about undisputed allegations regarding public funds allocation.
