Eight-year-old boutique tax firm Nitya Tax Associates is primarily focused on indirect tax advisory and related litigation. The firm recently added a new office in Mumbai, adding to its existing presences in Bangalore and Delhi that house more than 50 tax professionals overall. The firm holds the achievement of being one of the very few tax firms that successfully represented clients in obtaining favourable orders from various authorities for advance ruling under the newly introduced Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime. A few years back, the firm expanded to focus on matters of international trade and commerce, including advice on the recently introduced Customs Rules 2020 and Remission of Duties or Taxes on Exported Products Scheme. Managing partner Puneet Bansal is an indirect tax specialist with particular experience in the automobile, consumer goods and services, and pharmaceutical and health sciences sectors.
