Kurniawan Tanzil

Kurniawan is one of the co-founders and Managing Partner of SHIFT. He has extensive knowledge and experience in corporate and commercial areas, which are the solid fundamentals for his broad expertise in banking and finance. In the previous firm, he was a Senior Partner for five years and headed the Banking & Finance department for nearly eight years.

Throughout his professional life, he has represented a wide range of clients, domestic and international, in financing transactions, project finance, M&A, debt restructurings, aviation, TMT-related transactions as well as capital market transactions (such as bonds issuance and initial public offerings (IPO)). Kurniawan is also experienced in foreign direct investment and employment matters.

With the trust gained from clients and the quality services provided, Kurniawan’s achievements have been recognized through a number of awards, including being named as Leading/Highly-Regarded Lawyer in Banking and Finance, Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets and being included in the 2018 A-list, signifying his recognition as one of the top 100 lawyers in Indonesia.
