Adrian Koh of Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh (MKP) is our July lawyer of the month for his chief role in Johor Plantations Group’s sizable initial public offering in Malaysia. With over 20 years of experience in capital markets transactions, Koh spearheaded the team that advised Johor Plantations Group on its $157 million IPO. The offering marked Malaysia’s biggest debut in more than two years.
Koh is an experienced partner who specialises in capital markets and M&A. He has established himself as a leading figure in IPOs and M&A, acting on numerous significant deals, such as Alpha IVF Group’s listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia and BIG Pharmacy’s acquisition of a 75% stake in Caring Pharmacy Group. He has also been in charge of the firm's property and banking practice for more than a decade.
Admitted to the Malaysian Bar, Koh served in the corporate department of Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill before joining MKP in 2001. He was elevated to the partnership at MKP the following year. He is ranked in asialaw as a distinguished practitioner for capital markets and corporate and M&A.
