Adrian Koh of Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh (MKP) is our March lawyer of the month for his lead role in Sunway Healthcare Holdings’ MYR 2.86 billion ($732 million) listing on Bursa Malaysia. It is the country's largest IPO since Lotte Chemical Titan Holdings went public in 2017. The landmark offering underscores Malaysia's resurgence as a key Southeast Asian IPO destination, with firms listing on Bursa Malaysia raising $2.36 billion in 2025 alone—making it the region's second-largest market for IPO funds after Singapore.

As managing partner of Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh and a key architect of the firm's management and administration functions, Koh brings over two decades of experience in corporate and commercial transactions. His practice spans capital markets transactions, merger and acquisition deals, takeovers, and securities regulation matters. He has particular expertise in public offerings across the Malaysian market, such as Alpha IVF Group’s listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia and Johor Plantations Group’s $157 million IPO.

Koh graduated from the University of Melbourne with degrees in Arts (1996) and Law (1998) and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2000. He is ranked as a Distinguished Practitioner in asialaw for capital markets, and corporate and M&A.
