On May 30, the best national and regional law firms from across the region gathered at the Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong for the second annual Asialaw Regional Awards.
Kim & Chang received the biggest prize of the evening for Asia-Pacific firm of the year. It also took home trophies for Regulatory firm of the year, Insurance firm of the year and Aviation and Shipping firm of the year.
Elsewhere, Rajah & Tann had a successful evening, winning for Restructuring and Insolvency firm of the year, Laos firm of the year and taking home four Impact Deal trophies (including for its role on the Consortium acquisition of Singapore’s Global Logistics Properties).
In total, the awards recognised leading law firms across eight practice areas, seven industries and 25 jurisdictions across the region. This year, Asialaw added operational awards that were decided using objective data captured from client feedback during the 2018 research process. In deciding the winners, each firm or practitioner was given an average score using the client surveys. The award went to the firm/practitioner with the highest average score.
