Acted for CH Biovest in the High Court in relation to the Envy Holdings fraud. The liquidators of Envy are claiming back the profits paid to the client by Envy. The dispute is unique as the issue on how to deal with the proceeds of a Ponzi scheme for an unknowing investor has not been clarified under Singapore law. The judge hearing the matter also noted its novelty of issues and suggested that a young amicus curiae be appointed to assist in the decision-making.
