Braddell Brothers

Singapore

Analysis

Overview

Founded in 1883, Braddell Brothers is one of Singapore’s oldest independent law practices that exclusively focuses on dispute resolution. The team is currently handling disputes worth a combined value of over $5 billion and it prides itself on working on some of the toughest, most complex cases from around the region. The firm regularly advises financial institutions, high net-worth individuals and clients in the energy, real estate and healthcare sectors. Apart from counsel work, the partners are presently handling seven arbitration cases as arbitrator seated in various forums around the region. The team prides itself on being “hopeless case” specialists, for example successfully representing PT First Media to block an enforcement of over 99% of a $250 million SIAC arbitral award in the Astro-Lippo case in Singapore. It remains one of the few Singapore firms engaging in Russian federation and Kazakhstan arbitration work.

Edmund Kronenburg, Angelia Thng and Kyle Gabriel Peters are key contacts at the firm. Peters joined the team in August 2023 from PD Legal.
