The firm’s core strengths are corporate and M&A, dispute resolution, and energy and infrastructure work. It has offices in New Delhi, Odisha and Gurugram. The key partners are Kanodia and disputes expert Anand Kumar Shrivastava.

Represented Tata Power Company before the Supreme Court of India challenging the judgment of the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL).  

Represented TP Central Odisha Distribution in an appeal filed by Indian Railways before APTEL.

Corporate and M&A

Work highlights 

Advised on the $2.5 billion merger of Jindal Stainless (Hisar) and four other group companies into Jindal Stainless. This is one of the rare mergers where two companies both having their shares listed on stock exchanges in India and their GDRs listed overseas are merging together. 

Banking and finance

Advised Petronet LNG on its existing and new trust and retention accounts agreements pursuant to changes in the Indian regulatory framework.  

Acted for a leading public listed steel company on its financing requirements from Union Bank of India.
