Career highlights: Clinton was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland, Australia in 2007 and admitted to the Federal Court of Australia in 2009. In 2011, Clinton was admitted as a registered foreign lawyer and then subsequently as a solicitor in Hong Kong. Clinton's practice focuses on corporate finance and commercial transactions, working with a broad range of clients including multi-nationals, PRC quasi state-owned enterprises and Hong Kong listed companies.

Clinton's capital market experience includes acting for both issuers and sponsors in respect of listings on both the Main Board and Growth Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and as a Hong Kong advisor in respect of AIM and ASX listings and takeovers. Clinton has acted across a number of sectors for equity capital raising, including education, mining and resources, retail, fund, infrastructure and financial services.

Clinton’s M&A and PE practice covers a range of sectors and clients including financial and fund services, health and medical, mining and resources, automobile and aviation, information technology and media. He particularly focuses on the technology sector. This includes advising market leading VPN operators, data centre operators, AI focused education platforms, e-commerce platforms, ride-hailing platforms and other operators on matters such as capital raises (including from angel through to institutional rounds of capital), strategic investments and partial and complete exists. Furthermore, during his career, Clinton has worked with companies in the mining and minerals sectors on a variety of deals with assets across a multitude of jurisdictions, including Peru, Australia and the PRC. Those transactions encompass a broad spectrum, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and takeovers.

Education and professional membership: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) (2004) and Bachelor of International Business (B Int Bus) (Griffith University) (2004). Clinton also qualified as a Justice of the Peace (Queensland) in 2005.
