With the recent fundraising of $459 million, Sorting Hat has reached an impressive valuation of $3.44 billion. As co-founder of IndusLaw and senior partner, Katarki brings over 20 years of legal expertise to the table. He specialises in corporate and M&A, private equity investments, venture capital and funds, and corporate restructurings. He is also the head of the firm’s IP group, with rich experience advising clients on complex transactional and commercial IP rights matters. Additionally, Katarki is heavily involved in the technology regulatory and advisory space, as evidenced by Asialaw’s deal of the month.
Outside of law firm life, Katarki is a trustee and advisor to charitable foundations and projects. He serves on the board of the India chapter of United Way.
