The announcement of Indian food delivery app Zomato’s blockbuster IPO later this year led to our selection of IndusLaw capital markets partner Manan Lahoty as our Lawyer of the Month. He is part of the team representing the lead managers in the listing, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Bank of America Securities and Citi. The household name technology company is expected to raise $1.1 billion in the eagerly awaited listing.
Lahoty is a market-leading capital markets practitioner, having advised on some of the largest, most high-profile transactions in both the domestic and international capital markets. He worked on the country’s largest public offering and the largest block sale in India, and a variety of innovative deals across all sectors. His practice includes advising onshore and offshore investment banks on general corporate securities laws matters, pre-offering corporate restructuring and corporate governance.
IndusLaw famously recruited Lahoty and his entire team from L&L Partners at the end of 2019. He had been a partner at L&L for a decade, and prior to that had worked at Shearman & Sterling and Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co.
