Trilegal hires new competition head
Nisha Kaur Uberoi is joining Trilegal as partner and head of its competition law practice.
Trilegal's new competition chief comes from AZB & Partners, where she was the co-head of the competition practice. She previously worked at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and before that at Rajah and Tann and Ashurst in Singapore. Her domestic and international experience covers both merger control and cartel work.
Kaur Uberoi's team of five lawyers will also join Trilegal’s existing competition practice across three of its offices around the country.
New partner for Holden Redlich
Esteban Gomez has joined Holden Redlich as a corporate and commercial partner in Brisbane.
The M&A and capital markets specialist, who was formerly with Piper Alderman, regularly advises clients from a wide range of industries, including education, energy and resources, construction, government, retail, telecommunications and IT. He also advises start-up companies on commercial matters and businesses on corporate governance issues, including compliance with the ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations.
Helena Golovanoff, in construction and infrastructure, Benjamin Marshall, in workplace relations and safety, and Kylie Wilson, in corporate and commercial, also joined the firm as new partners in April.
AZB hires head of transaction support group
Ami Parikh has joined AZB & Partners in India as a partner and head of its transaction support group. She was formerly in charge of a similar group at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
Clasis Law expands partnership
Clasis Law has two new partners and three new associate partners
Rahul Beruar, head of IP, and Vikram Bhargava, who focuses on M&A, joint ventures, fund investments and private equity transactions, are the new partners. The corporate practice has gained two of the three new associate partners in Priyanka Anand and Neetika Ahuja.
